The Miss Liberty Scholarship Organization is an official preliminary to Miss New Jersey and the Miss America Opportunity, empowering young women to grow through scholarship, leadership development, community service, and personal achievement.
More Than a Competition!
For more than a century, the Miss America Opportunity has empowered young women to pursue their goals through scholarship, leadership, service, and personal achievement. Today, it remains one of the nation's largest providers of scholarship assistance for young women, awarding more than $5 million in cash and tuition scholarships annually through its local, state, and national competitions.
At the Miss Liberty Scholarship Organization, we believe the stage is just the beginning. Through mentorship, leadership training, and meaningful community engagement, we prepare young women to make an impact long after the competition ends!

Eligibility
To be eligible to compete as an at-large, local or state participant for either Miss America or Miss America’s Teen in September 2027, you must: be a female, meet the age criteria as shown below, be living full-time as a resident of your state, or employed full-time in person, or enrolled full-time as a student at an accredited school/college.

Miss America 18-28: must be NO OLDER than 28 on September 30, 2027, and no younger than 18 on Sept 1, 2027.

Miss America’s Teen 14-18: must be no YOUNGER than 14 by September 1, 2027 and no older than 18 on Sept 30, 2027.
